Christmas is also the time when even the simplest dessert becomes the protagonist.
There is a wonderful pleasure in preparing spicy cookies, cakes, truffles and other delights. Our suggestion today is this tasty donut, prepared for us by our friend Lorena, from the blog @bricioledisapori .
There is no danger of being wrong because the recipe is super tested (and tasted ), as well as easy to make, just as we like: the chocolate donut and cranberries. That then, covered with a generous dose of dark chocolate becomes a real temptation!
Lorraine's recipe is here, all for you:
150g brown sugar
125g of low-fat yogurt
250g Kamut flour
1 sachet of cremor Tartarus + 1 teaspoon of baking soda
4 tablespoons Brandy
5 tablespoons dried cranberries
70g broken dark chocolate
a 100g tablet of dark chocolate for icing (we used the Gran Cru 64% Origin Madagascar)
Butter and grated pan for the inside of the baking dish
The procedure is simple:
Soften the butter in a water bath and allow to cool.
Whisk it in a large bowl with sugar until a homogeneous cream is obtained.
Add the eggs, yogurt and continue to mix until all the ingredients have amalgamated.
Incorporate, little by little, the sifted flour with the cremor tartaro + bicarbonate and amalgamate very well.
Add cranberries, Brandy, chopped chocolate and mix again gently.
Grease the cake with butter and pour in the breadcrumbs, so that it perfectly covers the entire surface and shakes to get rid of excess. Pour the mixture.
Bring to preheated oven to 180 ° and bake for about 40 minutes.
For the cover it will be enough to melt the previously broken chocolate bar in a water bath. Pour the melted chocolate on the donut and distribute it using the back of a spoon.
